Burmese Naga textile, handloomed cotton & vegetable dyed. Twice a year, villagers make the 6 week trek to the Thai border to sell their textiles, where I buy them from a Naga kinswoman. She takes a small percentage from each sale, ensuring that most of the money goes directly to the villagers. By buying their textiles you are giving them an honourable alternative to the western malady - begging, working for a local warlord & drug production. These long textiles make wonderful table runners, are washable and will last for many years.
