As Seen in Cleo Magazine...

The shoot was all about letting your inner urban warrior come out to play:

Here we have tribal bracelets from India and some of our more outrageous silver and semi-precious stone rings from Afghanistan and Turkmanistan...

And more of our bracelets and rings...

One of our stunning pinned silver antique Afghan cuffs with a bracelet on top...

More rings and bangles, plus some very pretty Rabari work borders as anklets

And our Hmong tribal multilayer white metal torc from northern Thailand...

Here's one of our fabulous textile Akha shoulder bags from Thailand (incorporating a panel of antique tribal Akha silk embroidery with silk beaded fringing) and more rings from Afghanistan and Turkmanistan:

I bet you're wondering what of Kashgar is in this shot?  Took me a while to work it out too.  The answer is the porcupine quills in the model's hair!  Yep we bring them in from South Africa - the quills fall out of the porcupines naturally and the local children pick them up and take them to a local broker for a bounty.  Then they're sent to us here in Sydney! Yay!

The model's wearing a rather stunning pair of our Tekke Turkoman cuffs from Turkmanestan - high grade silver, fire gilding with 24 karat old and lapis lazuli cabochons.  Question: are the pom poms on her shoes really different colours?

Anyhoo, thats it.  My thanks to Cleo Magazine for the use of these pictures.   And sorry about the quality, I scanned them in myself.  Until our next photoshoot...
