Invitation to a Wine Tasting at Kashgar
In Pfaltz, heart of the winemaking region of Rheinland, Germany, there is a quiet revolution going on in terms of winemaking. With a whole swathe of young wine makers taking over the reigns of wine production from their parents, there is both a greater focus on collaborative techniques and with experimentation - moving away, for example, from large format bulk wines & developing new grape varieties like Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris & Silvaner. Their approach to wine is refreshing & distinctive, their branding innovative and the overt seriousness of German wines is being " lightened up" by their new perspective.
One of these innovators, Christian Nett, has recently been named 2016 Young German Winemaker of the Year, a competition that celebrates the highest levels of ability and achievement for young German winemakers. Christian's labelling is different, his approach to his wines is different, and he has an absolute committment to quality, facts recognised by the judges of the competition where he swept the field of 111 contenders.
Christian is visiting Australia during the month of July and is conducting a number of tastings during his time here, helping to redefine Australian wine lovers' understanding and appreciation of German wines and especially Riesling.
It is our pleasure to invite you to join us for an exclusive wine tasting experience with Christian here at Kashgar on the evening of Monday 25th July.
There is no charge for this event but places are strictly limited, so if you would like to join us for the evening please let us know latest Friday the 15th of July. Light food will also be served.
Where: Kashgar, 374 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction
To make the evening even more enjoyable, we will be offering discounts on all of Kashgar's beautiful pieces. We have a huge range of stock in store at the moment, from rich Central Asian silk and cotton texiles to Mexican Day of the Dead and Frieda collectables, plus all of our usual quality soaps, candles, incenses and teas.
